The SIFest Orchestra presents “The Three B’s” on Thursday, June 9 at the Carterville High School Performing Arts Center. This concert opens with J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, followed by Johannes Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra. Soloists of the Brahms are SIU’s violin and cello professors, Michael Barta and Eric Lenz. Following intermission, the Festival Orchestra performs Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 3 (“Eroica”).
