The 10th annual Southern Illinois Music Festival continues with two originally choreographed contemporary ballet pieces, forming an evening-length concert and set to beautiful music of Mozart for two soloists with orchestra, including the Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, and the Concerto for Flute and Harp. Choreographed by Southern Illinois’ own Emmie Graham and Krystal Caronongan, professional dancers from the Kennesaw State University Dance Company are joined by local dancers, with beautiful costumes and background art. The Southern Illinois Music Festival Orchestra, with instrumental soloists, Michael Barta, Jacob Tews, Kelly Sulick and Benjamin Melsky, are all conducted by Artistic Director, Edward Benyas, for two performances in Marion.
