Sydelle Fulk, artistic director of the ballet, Coppelia, and previously co-artistic director of the ballet “The Nutcracker”, she danced professionally with the Grand Ballet Classique de France, performed in “Ballet School” with the Bolshoi Ballet during an American tour, and has taught elementary through master classes in Los Angeles, Dallas, & Tulsa. Now in her 5th season of teaching ballet at Willow Street Studios in Carbondale, IL, and her 3rd year with the Southern Illinois Music Festival, she trained with the Canadian National Ballet and the Washington School for the Ballet, before re-locating to Cannes, France to study with Rosella Hightower. Her pre-professional training included such notable instructors as Gail Fischer, Celia Franca, Mary Day, William Dollar, Oleg Tupine, and Igor Schwetzoff. She now resides in Marion, Illinois with her husband and daughter.
