Originally from Carterville, Illinois, Jacob Sievers completed his undergraduate studies in May at Vanderbilt University with a B.M. in Piano Performance. As a student of Karen Ann Krieger, Jacob was a winner of the Blair School of Music Concerto Competition and the MTNA Young Artist Competition for the state of Tennessee. In addition, he has been awarded the David Rabin Prize for excellence in musical performance, the most prestigious performance award given at Vanderbilt. Jacob has participated in master classes with Garrick Ohlsson, Emanuel Ax, and Yefim Bronfman, and has studied at Brevard Music Center during previous summers. In the fall, he will begin graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music as a student of Daniel Epstein.
